KVKK Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice has been prepared to inform you, in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), about the processing of your personal data by Mültecilerle Dayanışma Derneği (“the Association”).

- Personal Data Processed
Depending on your interaction with and/or application to the Association, the following categories of personal data may be processed to the extent necessary and proportionate:
- Identity data: name and surname (and depending on the type of application: date of birth, nationality, etc.)
- Contact data: phone number, email address, postal address
- Application/communication transaction data: content of requests/complaints/applications, correspondence, file/case information
- Membership data (if applicable): membership application, membership status, dues/payment records
- Financial data (if applicable): donation/payment/receipt information, accounting records
- Visual/audio records (if applicable): event photos/videos
- Job application data (if applicable): CV/resume, education/experience, reference information
- Information security data: IP address, logs, cookie records related to website use (depending on use)
Special categories of personal data (e.g., health data, etc.) are processed only where strictly necessary.
- Purposes of Processing
Your personal data may be processed in compliance with KVKK for the following purposes:
- Receiving, assessing and responding to communications, requests and applications
- Carrying out the Association’s activities and planning/implementing organization and event processes
- Managing membership processes (if applicable)
- Managing and recording donation/support processes (if applicable)
- Managing complaint and feedback processes
- Managing human resources and recruitment processes (if applicable)
- Conducting information security processes and ensuring the security of systems and the website
- Fulfilling legal obligations and responding to requests from authorized public institutions and organizations
- Managing disputes and conducting legal processes
- Methods of Collection
Your personal data may be collected through in-person applications, phone/email channels, website forms and cookies, written/verbal communication during activities and operations, and (if applicable) donation/payment or job application channels, by automatic or partially non-automatic means.
- Legal Grounds
Your personal data is processed based on the legal grounds set out under Article 5 of KVKK, including primarily:
- Explicitly stipulated by law
- Directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract (where applicable)
- Fulfillment of the data controller’s legal obligations
- Establishment, exercise or protection of a right
- Legitimate interests of the data controller (provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed)
- Explicit consent, where required
For special categories of personal data, the conditions under Article 6 of KVKK apply.
- Transfers of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred, in compliance with KVKK and limited to the purposes above:
- To authorized public institutions and organizations (within the scope of legal obligations),
- To service providers such as audit, financial advisory, legal consultancy, IT/hosting, email and information security providers (where services are obtained),
- To business partners that may be necessary for organization/event processes (if applicable).
Transfers abroad: Where the Association’s IT infrastructure or service providers are located abroad, personal data may be transferred abroad by ensuring the required safeguards in accordance with KVKK provisions on cross-border data transfers.
- Retention Period
Your personal data is retained for the period required by applicable legislation or for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed; upon expiry, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with KVKK.
- Your Rights
Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is processed, request information if it is processed, learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically/abroad, request correction if it is incomplete/incorrect, request deletion/destruction where legal conditions are met, and exercise other rights provided by law.
- Contact and Applications
You may submit your requests within the scope of KVKK to the Association in writing or through the methods prescribed by the applicable legislation. Applications are concluded in accordance with KVKK and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.
